Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actress who is most well-known for her character Bo from the Showcase television series Lost Girl. Silk was a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick in Canada. Ilkay and Peter Silk were both professors. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. She's the Director of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna has some of her earliest memories of watching television and attending play rehearsals. Silk appeared as a little actress in commercials. The year 1997 was the time she graduated with a bachelor's degree from St. Thomas University. Her early theater experience includes two shows with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto to pursue her acting career in order to improve, before moving to Los Angeles California. Seth Cooperman was her future spouse when she first met him in 2007 in an actor's workshop located in Los Angeles. They got married in December 2009 following a civil ceremony. They renewed their vows April 10, 2011, in Fredericton, after the woman was converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman had her first child Samuel Jerome Cooperman May 2013 Levi Aaron was her second born son on 13 May 2016. Silk's television work is centered around the character Cassidy Holland in Being Erica in which she was awarded the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. In 2009 she was cast as Bo Dennis, the lead role of Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant during final production of the season 3 finale, and revealed this to viewers in the Showcase's Season Three Pre-Show Special on the 6th of January, 2013. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season and on June 20, 2013 Silk tweeted that she was back to the set of the show. The character she played Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers with the same gender in the show Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite Television Couples in the year 2013 by CNN (Cable News Network) and declared Top Television Couple in 2013. The same was done by E! Entertainment Television. As a result of the popularity of the show, Silk has earned a significant presence on social media.
